developed in Korea at the beginning of 1990, Woongjin Chemical has been aiding the filter businesses by providing products such as water purifier filters, micro filters, and reverse osmosis membranes for producing fresh water from sea water and anti-contaminant reserve osmosis membranes. It also established the business system appropriate for the 21st Century by fostering beneficial, environmentally minded materials for the human body and the environment.
In recognition of its innovative and forward looking technologies, the reverse osmosis membrane for producing fresh water from sea water received the Award of the Prime Minister at the 2002 Korea Technology Awards. Additionally, Woongjin Chemical’s anti-flammable polyester fibers, Hadosa stretch textiles and anti-contaminant reserve osmosis membranes were selected in 2003 as World’s First Class Products by the Ministry of Industry and Resources, which displays Woongjin Chemical’s capability of producing the best differentiated products in the industry in terms of quality and functionality. Under the motto that things that benefit nature also benefit mankind, Woongjin Chemical has continuously striven to find develop environmentally friendly products. In recognition of it’s continuous efforts, Woongjin Chemical received the Environment Friendly Company Award in 1993 and Environment Management ISO-14001 for the entire business field in 1997, thereby positioning itself as a truly green company.
