The English Education Business Division is predominantly involved in the Woongjin Plus Language Academy, an English-language academy, and the Globalization Centers, which are run with the cooperation of local governments.

The Plus Academy, established in 1997, currently comprises 9 branches and 17 franchises which provide education to elementary and middle school students throughout Korea.
The first of the company’s five Globalization Centers, Incheon GEC, was established in 2006.
With the vision of becoming a Global Education Innovator, the Woongjin Plus Academy and the Globalization Centers together provide high-quality English-language education through 250 native speakers and Korean teachers to develop the global human resources we will need tomorrow.

Overview

GEC
Opened in September 2006 under an agreement with Incheon Seo-gu Office.
First English village in Korea.
2 classes held twice weekly; application learning every 3 months.
Native teachers conduct application learning(cooking, art, mathematics, etc).
ICC
Opened in June 2008 under an agreement with Daejeon Dong-gu Office.
2 classes held twice weekly; application learning every 3 months.
Native teachers conduct application learning(space, word, animals).
GLC
Opened in June 2009 under an agreement with Osan City Hall.
Online application learning(2 wks)+application learning(2 wks)+online follow-up(1 wk).
Lessons with native teachers.
SGA
Opened in March 2009 under an agreement with Busan Sasang-gu Office.
2 classes held twice weekly; application learning every 3 months.
Lessons with native teachers (drama, development of oral fluency, holidays).
Plus Language Academy
Opened in 1997 (Junggye-dong).
Acquired by Woongjin Think Big in November 2008.
9 branches and 17 franchises currently in operation.
Elementary/middle school students taught.
Seocho Library
Opened in April 2009.
Small-scale English library and learning center located in Seocho-gu (Banpo, Yangjae).
Book-lending/viewing for kindergarten and elementary students; management of reading ability management and provision of English –language education programs.
Kindergarten English Class
Premium Kindergarten English Class.
Mentors in Yeonsu-gu, Incheon; Jamsters in Gwangjin-gu, Seoul.
Target age: 5-7 years of age.
